What is Social Work? Social work is a practice-based profession that promotes social change, development, cohesion and the empowerment of people and communities. This course builds on the knowledge, values, and skills provided in Decolonizing Social Work. Coursework focuses on better understanding and applying a justice-based framework to mezzo- and macro- social work practice within organizational, community and political systems.
