Community education councils are generally found in rural areas where access to higher education is limited. New applicants wishing to apply for the Commonwealth Community Education Council Grant need to submit a Proposal Letter stating an interest in achieving the objectives listed above.

What is the purpose of community education councils?

Program Objectives: The community education councils identify, implement and oversee new or innovative efforts to provide access to post-secondary education opportunities in educationally underserved communities within Pennsylvania.

Colorado Early Colleges Aurora (CECA) opened its doors in 2017 as a tuition-free, open enrollment public charter high school. CECA provides a personal and supportive atmosphere where students are able to pursue their unique and individual educational and career goals. As an early college high school, our academic program is designed to allow students who complete the curriculum to earn an associate degree, 60+ college credit hours, and/or industry certifications at no cost to families.
