#1.) Palfish Kids Course. The Palfish Official Kids Course (OKC) is strictly focused on teaching English to children under 12 years of age. The curriculum is supplied for you, with cartoon lessons you use to teach for a 25-minute set class. During the class, you can see the student, and the student can see you via a video window.

No need to juggle students, try to remember names or stress that they’re all getting enough attention. You just focus on one student, for one lesson. Better for everyone!
You are provided with everything you need. So you will not be working for free, before the lesson, preparing. Simply login, introduce yourself and teach what’s on the screen. Easy!
Palfish doesn’t require a degree for any of their teaching jobs. They pay $15 to buy any props you need (this is a nice touch). The more classes you teach, the higher your pay rate (plus bonuses for not being late or having any absences).
Palfish is an online ESL (English as a Second Language) teaching company located in Beijing China. The company connects native-speaking teachers to students of all ages to learn English using their online platform.
The Official Kids classes are 25 minutes long, which seem to fly by for me. It’s best to arrive 30 seconds before class to avoid being late. After class, you are required to fill in a class report which usually only takes 2 minutes to do. These reports are usually pre-filled and only take a few touch types to complete.
My overall review of Palfish is: Yes, it is a good company to work for. Like any company, it has its pros and cons. But during my time working for Palfish, I have found great success. Palfish has funded my family of five to travel Australia full time for over a year now.

Palfish is extremely flexible, in the sense that you completely control your hours week to week. Only two hours after being accepted for Palfish, I taught my first lesson and knew it was the right company for me. Palfish stands out from other ESL companies because it is taught using an app on your mobile phone.
Palfish is amazing because of its flexibility. You have complete control of your schedule each week and can easily cancel or reschedule classes if you do it in advance. How much you work is entirely up to you – you can make it your full time job or you can just use it for some extra cash.
PalFish is an app for Apple iOS and Android phone and tablets that allow teachers to chat with students online for money. It’s easy to use and helps the students learn English online in a remote setting.

Since everything is online your students are going to see a limited amount of space through your camera. You should have it brightly decorated with colorful shapes, letters, and numbers to create a fun environment for your students. A flag from your country, the PalFish logo, and your first name (Example: Teacher Susan) is also encouraged.
This complete PalFish teaching guide should give you the foundation to start teaching English online. Remote work is a great way to extend your travels around the world, and give you a little extra spending money. While this guide doesn’t guarantee you’ll have the same success on PalFish that we have, we believe it will put you on the right path.
I'm out of the United States right now, and have just started teaching English online, and it is shocking to me how badly these companies under compensate their teachers.
Here is my referral link for Education First (A Miami ESL Company that teaches in China), their rules for teaching, scheduling and late policy are less strict than their "competitors". (I'm looking at you VIPKid.) They also don't do pay cuts, and sometimes you can talk to students that are 10-13+ years old.
It's my first day of online teaching tomorrow for Landi. Any tips for what I can expect, what I should do/shouldn't do?
Does anyone work for Engoo? I recently applied and made it to the training session stage. However, they offered me $2.8 per hour. I taught ESL in Japan for five years, online for a year and possess a valid TEFL teaching certificate. Is it because I am not North American or European? I’ve been noticing a disturbing trend...🤦🏾♂️
Could somebody please help me with some grammar lesson plans for advanced students? I have a student who has a high level of speaking and she seems to already know any of the grammar that I try to teach.
It's a Russian company. I saw a post on an ESL teaching group on FB and they offered $2/15 min convo ($8/60 min). Does anyone know if the management and company are better than Chinese-run platforms?
