Parent / Guardian Accounts Students must enroll at VLACS and receive their username and password in order to create a parent/guardian account. In addition, you receive: Monthly appointments with instructors. Monthly progress reports emailed to the parent's email address.
The first 28 days you are in a VLACS course is the “grace period.” You may contact your instructor to drop the course with “no grade” during that period. If, at the end of the “grace period,” you have not completed the required lessons for the first four weeks, your instructor may remove you from the class.

VLACS courses are offered free of charge for students who are New Hampshire residents. There is a tuition fee for students who do not reside in New Hampshire and wish to enroll at VLACS.
Virtual learning is designed to extend educational experiences. It does not try to replicate them. In virtual learning environments, students access resources and interact in ways they would not or could not in the physical classroom. If an applicant is only taking courses through VLACS, they must enroll in a minimum of three courses, with one course being in a core academic area (Math, English, Science, Social Studies, World Language). If enrolled in courses at another school, students must enroll in a minimum of one course in a core academic area.
VLACS is funded through the New Hampshire’s Education Trust Fund, which exists solely to benefit NH’s charter schools. State law gives the NH Legislature the authority and job to fund the state’s charter schools.
In regard to which course (s) to take, students should consult the course requirements (MS) and graduation requirements (HS) to determine selections. If students are still unsure, they should wait until their Admissions Plan Meeting when they will discuss course selections with their Admissions Counselor.
The process may take longer for a variety of reasons, including: 1) If they are not yet enrolled in courses; 2) If they are struggling to meet admissions goals; 3) If the admissions team is waiting for their transcript; 4) If they haven’t yet attended an Information Session or Admission Plan Meeting.

Academic integrity is very important to VLACS; therefore, students agree to submit authentic work, not copied from another student or from another source without citing that source.
Course Policies. You will receive a response within 24-48 hours. You are strongly encouraged to do all your assessments in the order they are presented to you; completing them out of order will make your course more difficult and may give you a false impression of your overall progress in completing your course.

The Virtual Learning Academy is education designed to be online. We are a virtual school for elementary, middle, high school, and adult learners to earn a degree, earn some credits, explore an interest, or gain valuable career credentials.
Individualized. Courses allow students to select subjects based on needs, interests, or talents. Some students may wish to take their electives through online courses, while others may want to enrich themselves by taking a dive deeper into a subject that interests them.
In addition to a welcome call in which the instructor meets virtually with the student and their guardian, the instructor maintains regular contact with the student, offers one-on-one virtual assistance through video conferencing, and provides additional support as needed. The instructor also assesses all of the student’s work.
Students can take and re-take DBAs as often as they need to and are encouraged to use their notes to answer questions. They can do the same with assessments and get as much or as little help as they need from their instructors.
