Aug 02, 2021 · To continue to access your course materials without opting out, click the green Acquire Code button, then follow the instructions shown below the button to redeem the code and access your course materials. You are now enrolled in Sapling Learning. Once you have completed this process, you will be enrolled in your Sapling Learning course.
Find your Sapling Learning course in the list and click the Associate button. Be sure to double-check that the course name and course ID match the course you would like to connect to Schoology. Click Yes, Associate This Course. When you see this screen confirming that your course has been associated, close the browser tab to return to Schoology.

If shown this page, you can agree that Blackboard will automatically provide your name and Blackboard e-mail to Macmillan Learning so that we can create your Sapling user account. We recommend that you select I agree to share my user information with the Macmillan Learning system and click Launch.
When you first log in, you will land on the Activity Stream tab. If you have any assignments with upcoming due dates, they will be listed here. Clicking on any assignment for a course will take you to that assignment's location in that course.

Instructors can now add Teaching Assistants to their courses. Teaching assistants added using the following method will not have to register or pay for access to your Sapling Learning course.
TA users cannot edit assignments. TA users are shown the student view of assignments. TA users can see hidden assignments (and other hidden items). If you would like your TA to have a different level of access, contact your Client Success Specialist. Provide a short description of the article.
Note: If you do not use the same e-mail address that is associated with your Sapling Learning course, it will not show as available to link to Blackboard or you will receive a message that you do not have an account. If you are unable to move past this stage, see the LMS Troubleshooting article.
To add content to Blackboard without creating a gradebook column (ungraded assignments), you must assign the item in Sapling Learning for zero points. Adding items to an Ungraded category in the Sapling gradebook does not ensure that they will be worth zero points when added to Blackboard.
After that, gradebook categories can only be changed in Blackboard.
The tool link will appear at the bottom of your course menu. Students will also see it in this location. By clicking this link, you and your students will have easy access to your Macmillan course tools.
Changing grades. If you wish to manually enter or edit grades for student assignments, it is recommended to do so in Sapling Learning and not in Blackboard. After changing grades in the Sapling Learning course, perform a grade refresh to make the same changes appear for the corresponding items added to Blackboard.
Adding assignments from your Sapling Learning course creates a link to those assignments in your Blackboard course and allows grades for those assignments to sync with the Blackboard gradebook. We recommend you add at least one link to your course using this method. Students will be able to click on the link to enroll in your Sapling Learning course.
