What do I need to know about visiting the wilds?

Almost the entire time they are using legacy or have no idea how to actually pk, which is probably why they are at the wildy course. A few days ago I went there with just a polypore and some food and got 3 kills without dying, 2 people were teaming up on the no itemers with full rune and a whip of which I promptly stunned and killed both of them without using one food.
