Teaching Textbooks seems like the right answer according to all the reviews from fellow homeschool moms. Upon careful observation of Teaching Textbook Pre-algebra I discovered that 75% of the book would be a review for my daughter. Changing to TT from MUS would set her back a year! I find MathUSee is more advanced!

Math-U-See books are organized into levels, not grades, so students can proceed at their own pace as they master concepts. This is particularly helpful for the child that is not performing at grade level but would rather not have a daily reminder.
The program is not common core aligned, instead it teaches math the way we learned it. However, Teaching Textbooks is used by Seton, a nationally accredited homeschool curriculum. You won't be disappointed with the quality of the program.

Saxon was a great foundation to build on, and it has allowed all of my children to be successful in math. Thank you, Mr. Saxon, for this excellent curriculum. Any other helpful hints: When we got to high school, I had my kids complete even numbered problems on even lessons, and odd numbered problems on odd lessons.

In What Order Do I Use the Math-U-See Levels? There are seven books for elementary grades which can be used in the following order: Primer, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, and Zeta. These first seven books are followed by Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, PreCalculus with Trigonometry, and Calculus.
Masterbooks has a reputation for being “too easy”, or “not enough” by some homeschoolers. If you just flip through the book and glance at a day's work, you'll see why that is. One day of math usually consists of 1 page, sometimes 2.
