Aug 20, 2016 · The app states to NOT list classes such as PE, typing, etc. My question is would health and tech fall in that category (one semester of health, one semester of tech proficiency)? Also, I have a Leadership class for ASB, would that count as non-academic as well? These classes weren’t listed in the list they provided

The Official UC GPA is calculated by dividing the total number of Grade Points by the total number of attempted UC Units. These figures can be found on the official transcript. Attempted units are found in the ATTM column; Grade Points are found in the GPTS column.

UCs do look at courses you take in freshman and senior years; the grades and rigor of your coursework are considered in context of your overall curriculum. But freshman and senior year grades are NOT included in the GPA calculation. UC-approved Honors, AP, IB and community college courses are weighted.

Students should refer to transcripts and grade reports to complete the academic history. Be sure to tell them not to work from memory — it's important that all the information requested be included and that the information is accurate.
All college/university courses taken or planned should be listed, regardless of length of attendance or whether the student thinks the course will be transferable and regardless of the type of grade earned (W, AR, NP, etc.).
