Experience the magic of Hawks Creek, a regulation 18 hole golf course and practice facility located four (4) miles from downtown Fort Worth, off Hwy 183 in Westworth Village, TX. Heritage Bay Golf and Country Club – Cypress Course This is a nine-hole golf course covering 3,572 yards of golfing space. It has been around since 2006 and was designed by Gordon G. Lewis and Jed Azinger.
The course uses the windswept sand dunes and maritime forest to showcase the natural beauty of the Outer Banks. Dramatic elevation changes offer ocean views on several holes. The unique coastal environment makes this course a must-play for true enthusiasts of the game.
The course meanders over the gentle hills and across the deep natural arroyos that are typical of the Sonoran Desert. Typical of Raptor's challenges is its 165-yard, par-3 8th hole, named 'Aces & Eights. ' From the tee, this hole plays slightly downhill to a partially hidden green nestled in a natural amphitheater.
Diamond Hawk is a very difficult course. It is in solid shape from tee to green, playing very firm, and you need to play it a few times to learn where to go/miss and get the feel of the contours on and around the greens. There is very little margin for error in the form of rough around the course. If you miss that, there is a lot of sand, fescue, and thicker brush/woods waiting to collect your ball. If you do not play the right tees, and strike the ball solidly you'll likely be in for a long round.
Was finally able to get out and play Diamond Hawk, which is fairly new. Really enjoyed using their driving range, which is one of the best in western new york.
The nearly century-old Glenwood Golf Course, along Creighton Road in eastern Henrico County, is being proposed for two subdivisions totaling 320 homes by local developer Godsey Properties. If approved, the development would mark an end to a more than 90-year run for the 18-hole, par 71 course, which has been in operation since the 1920s.
Pedestrian trails would connect the two neighborhoods, which would have access from Creighton Road but no connections to adjacent single-family subdivisions that surround the site . The stream would form a central park area with a playground, two pavilions and existing ponds.
Harry Griffin, co-owner of Glenwood Golf Club with operations director Frank Adams, said they’ve fielded offers on the property in the past and were receptive when Godsey approached them with its project. “Golf has changed a lot in the last 40 years I’ve been in it,” said Griffin, the club’s PGA professional on staff.
14. Tiburon Golf Club. This golf club features two 18-hole courses, both designed by Greg Norman, with the Gold one opening in 1998 and the Black course opening in 2001. They both play to a par of 72 and feature five sets of tees.
Hibiscus Golf Club. An 18-hole golf course that has been open since 1969, but which has received numerous updates and renovations since then, this course specializes in catering to both newbies and more experienced golfers, which means you won’t be intimidated when you play the course.
8. Lely Resort Golf and Country Club - Mustang Course. Built in 1996 and designed by Lee Trevino, this 18-hole golf course provides 7,230 yards of golfing activity and offers a putting green and driving range as well. If you get tired of golf, you can swim, play tennis, or play billiards.
