Every student at University of the People (“UoPeople”) must take proctored exams (an exam under the supervision of a proctor) prior to graduation. Students that are taking a course that has a proctored exam must take a proctored exam. A student cannot graduate unless all required proctored exams are successfully completed.
A proctored exam is an exam in which there is a person present to monitor and supervise students during the exam. These proctors will usually authenticate students’ IDs, keep track of time, and watch students to make sure that they are following test guidelines and instructions.
It is the student’s sole responsibility to choose a proctor, and proctors must meet several requirements: be responsible adults, such as a local official, supervisor at work, librarian, or a religious figure, and be at least 21 years old; be willing to comply with policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the exam process;
With the rise in online test taking, online proctoring is necessary in order to deter cheating and monitor students while they take exams at home. Online proctoring monitors students’ exam taking by either supervising over live video or recording exam takers to deter cheating.
The University reserves the right to verify a proctor at any time, and students who assign proctors that do not meet the requirements will have their registration denied.

I’ve been maintaining a blog about my experience with instructors and courses at the UoPeople for a while. I hope it’ll help students at the university. I’m not getting anything out of it. I only maintain it so that it helps students in knowing the practical experiences of taking courses at the school. It’s an ad free blog btw.
Hi guys I've recently come across UOP and quite interested in taking up accounting certificate. I understand that it doesn't make me a professional accountant. But I'd like to understand how it has helped you and whats ur experience like. Thanks!
Just wanted to say this is a pretty cool development and I really appreciate it.

I plan on taking a CS Associates this coming term. I'm planning on transferring to a traditional university to continue my bachelors. I wanna try applying to UoPeople's partner universities. (I'm an international student btw)
I submitted my discussion post over 400 words and ensured that my responses to 3 other posts were over 100 words. Nobody responded or graded my post, yet I only received an 8 of 10 points.
