This new quest will begin automatically. Cross the bridge to enter Black Canyon Mines. There's a waypoint in this location. As for the enemies, you'll be dealing mostly with the creatures you already know, like Dune Threshers, Fallen Overseers and Sand Wasps.
Your main objective is to find Khasim Outpost and sadly you can't get there simply by using the main path, because it's blocked. Check the surrounding area to locate an entrance to Stinging Winds. This is another large area that's filled by monsters you're already familiar with.
You shouldn't have problems locating Lieutenant Vachem and you must talk to him.
The lieutenant will send you to the Command Post to consult with Captain Davyd and the entrance to the outpost is located next to him. Head down to find out that you've been trapped.
Maghda can be found here and you'll also find out that the defenders of the city were an illusion. Get ready to defend yourself from the Copperfang Lurkers. The monsters will attack as a group and they're the biggest threat, because there's nowhere to hide.
Go back outside to witness a battle taking place. Help your allies in getting rid of a new group of Copperfang Lurkers.
The last thing you need to do is to talk to Captain Davyd - he can be found in the same place where you've previously met Lieutenant Vachem. The quest will come to an end.
The main quest was given by the NPC Asheara, apparently making her return from Diablo 2. In a short conversation Asheara, who is still a mercenary captain, said that the city was lost, unreachable across the desert wastes. Your character was undaunted, and replied confidentally that they would find it nevertheless. Each of the four classes had slightly different dialogue, but they were united in a common self confidence and determination to see the mission through.
A Miner’s Gold is a quest given by the Crazed Miner, and NPC found in the Canyon Rim Mines. The miner tells your character that a great treasure is in the chest below, but he needs your help to fight off the monstrs while he raises it up. If you accept the quest he starts pulling up the chest by turning a huge wheel, and the minute he does hordes of Fallen Imps come racing in to attack.
Blood Money was a fairly simple mission. The quest required the player to retrieve an item and return it to Captain Dagved for a reward. The only complication was that this item was the head of Husami, a notorious bandit, who was not necessarily eager to surrender it. Funny how bandits are always like that.
As soon as I began playing this year’s Blizzcon build, t was immediately evident that Diablo 3’s quest system had undergone substantial work since Blizzcon 2008. The quest system now is more scientific and organized, and that includes the visuals such as the quest window.
Followers in Diablo 3 differ from Diablo 2 in many ways. Firstly, they have a more personal bond with your character, and secondly, they do not cost a penny to hire while aiding your hero in their battle when they’re facing the demons that are overrunning the Sanctuary. Though you may only use Followers in single-player games.
Location The Templar is the first follower available, found in The Cathedral Level 3 of Act I.
Location The Enchantress can be found on the Howling Plateau in Act 2.
Open the door mentioned above and activate a new waypoint. Remain inside the manor and use the stairs leading to Halls of Agony Level 1.
Start exploring Halls of Agony Level 1. The hallways here are reasonably wide. You'll be fighting with the creatures that you already know and with some monsters that you will meet for the first time. Dark Berserkers move fast and they use powerful weapons, however their attacks are slow.
Halls of Agony Level 2 is very similar to the previous floor in terms of the structure and monster encounters. Make sure to explore this area thoroughly to locate a new waypoint. Continue exploring the level until you've found an exit leading to the Highlands Passage.
This is a spectacular location. You must follow a narrow path, cross a few bridges and use some stairs to reach the Cursed Hold. Some monsters will of course try and stop you on your way to the hold.
Enter the hold and approach the ghost of Queen Asylla. Talk to her and she'll ask you to release the souls of her servants.
You will now have to travel through a prison, searching for the remains and for the ghosts of the prisoners standing next to them. Click on each dead body so that the spirit can leave in peace. You must release six souls that way.
Once you've released all six souls mentioned by Queen Asylla proceed to the central area of the prison and you should encounter a Warden surrounded by Savage Fiends. The Warden is a simple opponent, especially since he doesn't have a lot of life points.
In one of these in the Flayer Jungle, you'll find a little Flayer village, the stairs down to the Flayer Dungeon (needed in Quest Three) and the Gidbinn. The Gidbinn is a small statue with some skulls and woven wooden branches. It shows up on your overhead map and highlights when you point at it.
Quests Act Three. Act Three moves to the deep jungle and pits your hero against mutated forest creatures of all kinds, as well as corrupted humans who must be destroyed before you enter a haunted dungeon with a horrible surprise across a moat of blood on the lowest level.
The goal of Act Three is to gain entrance to the Durance of Hate and defeat Mephisto, thus enabling yourself to move through to Act Four. The only quest you really have to do is the sixth one, killing Mephisto, though single player characters will need to do the very long Quest Three to get there.
Once inside the Durance you must descend to the third level where you'll find Mephisto. The vast majority of characters on Battle.net never do this quest. Most everyone gets a portal into the Durance of Hate from another player, and proceeds to kill Mephisto and go on to Act Four.
Location: Mephisto is on level three of the Durance of Hate, entered from the large temple in Travincal. Rewards: None from NPCs, but you will find a portal to take you to Act Four. Quest Priority: You must complete this quest to move on to Act Four. On the third level of the Durance of Hate you'll find Mephisto.
With D2R giving everyone a fresh take on D2, it's a good time to appreciate why it's itemization is vastly superior to D3. Let's hope Blizzard realizes this before it's too late with D4!
