Unfortunately, we don’t delete courses from Canvas. We recommend unpublishing the course or simply following the directions above to remove it from your Dashboard.

The Canvas dashboard is dynamic with the term dates. Your course will appear based on your status for the course. Below are those conditions. However, errors do occur which may prevent a course from automatically appearing on your dashboard. Please note that removing a course from your dashboard does not drop you out of the course.
If there are no gold stars then Canvas will display all courses listed within above the Past Enrollments section. Following the steps above in Add Classes for your current courses will result in the unwanted class not appearing in your Dashboard. Unfortunately, we don’t delete courses from Canvas.
To unlock a Canvas course after the term has ended: Navigate to the course you want to unlock, and from the course navigation menu, select Settings. After the page automatically refreshes, your course will be unlocked, and the course end date will be set to one month from the current date.
If you are in your Calendar view in Canvas all you should need to do is click on the colored square next to the name of the course on the right side of the screen. By doing so you're essentially hiding it from your calendar view and if you ever need to add it back you can.
@stepnich , as a student you can't delete yourself from courses, but what you can do is customize your courses under your Courses dropdown so you only see the courses you want to see.

Here is how to hide and unhide them in your Dashboard view. Click on “Courses” in the red vertical menu bar, and then click on “all courses”. To hide a course card in your dashboard, click on the little star so that the color is gone. To show a course card , click on the little star so that some color is showing in it.
If you can't see one of your courses on your Canvas calendar, the course may be hidden. Under the "Calendars" section in the sidebar on the right of your Canvas calendar page, hidden courses will appear greyed out. For example, in the above "Calendars" list, the course "ELA 10 S2" is hidden.

The worst scenario is accidentally deleting an entire Canvas Page, Assignment, Quiz, or file. In this case, you won’t be able to restore to a previous version because the page does not exist in your course anymore. But there’s still a solution: you can “undelete” any item you’ve accidentally deleted to restore it in your course.
