From the beginning of the 4th week of classes until the end of the 12th week of classes in a regular semester, a student may withdraw from a course by completing a Course Drop / Withdrawal Form available online or at the Registrar's Office, Davidson Hall, room 116. A "W" will be entered for the course on the student's transcript.
Go in person to the registrar's office to get a class withdrawal sheet. Some institutions also accept withdrawals through email. Look on your school's website for an email address for the registrar's office or the academic advisor's office. When in doubt, contact an academic advisor.
“A withdrawal will be on the transcripts but does not affect GPA.” Croskey also noted that there aren't any limits to how many classes one can drop because they don't go on the transcript. Withdrawals though are limited and can look bad if there are too many on a student's transcript.

To change or declare a degree program, major or minor, a student must obtain a “Change of Major, Degree or Advisor” form on the Registrar's Website or in the Office of the Registrar, obtain the necessary signatures and return it to the Office of Registrar.

Withdrawing from a class means that the class will still show up on your transcript, but in place of a letter grade, you'll see a W. While this class doesn't affect your grade, it will still follow you through your academic career, so you should use your withdrawals wisely.
Withdrawal usually means the course remains on the transcript with a “W” as a grade. It does not affect the student's GPA (grade point average). Although students may be reluctant to have a “W” on their transcript, sometimes “W” stands for Wisdom.
Students wishing to withdraw from a course after the deadline to withdraw with a W will receive either a grade of WP (withdraw passing) or WF (withdraw failing). The deadline for WP/WF grades shall be a date for each term as set annually on the Academic Calendar at the 60% mark of the term.

A minimum of 30 credits earned at CCSU is required for a Bachelors Degree, normally 15 credits in the major and 9 in the minor. Some programs require between 24 and 30 credits in the major. Please refer to the catalog. A minor is required for most BA, BS and some BSED programs.
Candidates offered admission have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale and a class rank in the top 50 percent of the graduating class. We also recommend that students complete the following high-school coursework: Four years of English.
You can declare your major by writing your choice on your admissions application or filling out a declaration of major form. Some majors require students to fill out a formal application and specific requirements, which must be met before a student can be admitted to their program.
