Darth Malgus has tasked you with competing in the games and winning these weapons for the Empire. Before the third boss in Colicoid War Game you will reach a console. Upon reaching it you will see members of the opposite faction behind a wall. You have the option of leaving them be or of killing them.
This guide is co-owned and first released on Hey everyone, here is another flashpoint guide for SWTOR, this time for The Colicoid War Game.
The Colicoid are holding a competition on their homeworld. The winner of this competition will gain the favor of the Colicoid and their patronage, in the form of weapons and other technology. Darth Malgus has tasked you with competing in the games and winning these weapons for the Empire.
There are 4 turrets in the area you enter, each group member will need to take one turret and defend against waves of assaulting Colicoids. These turrets will fire automatically when you point them at enemy Colicoids so there is no need to to click on anything to fire.
I recently hit 50, and all my buddies are still in their 30s, so I've been trying to find stuff to do while I wait. I've been able to solo Taral V and Maelstorm Prison with no issues, but I can't seem to 'survive' long enough in the first part of the war game.
Colicoid War Game is a level 40-44 Flashpoint available to both Imperial and Republic players. The flashpoint is notable for only having 1 boss encounter and 2 mini-games, making it frustrating for pick-up groups. The best place I have found is on Korriban in the final temple where you finish up your class quest, starting in the first room go right or left and just make a circle down the hall, into the second room and back up the other side into the starting room, the mobs respawn just before you finish a circuit, and you can average 45ish kills per circuit, I just maxed out 3 companions with that spot ...
Only boss I've had trouble with as a slinger was the droid one, as he kept on destroying my comp. It's easy if you group with someone though as you can use health stations regardless as to whether your group member is in the flashpoint or not, so if you've got a friend who's doing something else you could group with them, do the fp on your own and be able to solo the bosses with ease.
This droid is what is causing the fire to engulf the ground in front of you. Upon killing the Hazard Droid, the fire goes away, but only temporarily . The Hazard Droid is on a 2-minute respawn timer, so you have little time to accomplish the puzzle until he respawns.
Both DPS should focus on the area in front of the empty turret before swinging back to the small cone directly in front of them. Make sure the tank has thrown guard on the healer so that the healer can take a little bit more damage just in case as well as generate less threat.
It is easy to accidentally pull both at the same time, so make sure your DPS moves to the left when the tank pulls. You will then face another set of fire hazards and terminals. The order for this set is to go to the far left, then run to the far right after that terminal has been activated.
The boss is a large droid, but is a simple tank-and-spank pushover who does very little damage. The only way this fight can be difficult is if your party does not pay attention to the ground they are standing on.
The last challenge in this flashpoint takes place in a small arena after killing three arena beasts (very similar to the scene Star Wars: Episode 2 where Anakin, Padme, and Obi-Wan are in a similar arena). The boss is a large droid, but is a simple tank-and-spank pushover who does very little damage. The only way this fight can be difficult is if your party does not pay attention to the ground they are standing on. The boss will drop fire on the ground so your party will need to constantly be moving around in order to not be burned to death.
Colicoid War Game is not a standard flashpoint in that it is more of a puzzle-based dungeon, not focused as much on combat or boss fights as the others you will encounter throughout the game. There are technically three places where loot drops, but only one actual boss fight. The challenges you will have to complete for the first two loot drops are detailed below as is the strategy for the final boss.
Just wanted to say that as a new players the sworista videos and website have been incredibly helpful for learning about the game and it’s many features and just wanted to appreciate what she had done for the community
