In CASPA’s Identifying Information section you can provide some information on your upbringing, but most students don’t. We think this is a missed opportunity. Think about it: thousands of hopeful applicants are all vying for the same attention.
However, an application can go through verification with only two references completed. Additional references, once completed, will be immediately available to your schools once received by CASPA.

Assign a Prerequisite Click the plus sign next to the course(s) that you believe fulfills the prerequisite. You can match multiple courses to one prerequisite, if applicable. If you do not have a prerequisite course to add, click I Am Not Matching Any Courses to this Prerequisite. Click Save and Exit.

The Center for Pre-Health Advising recommends getting letters from at least one faculty member and one health care professional. CASPA does not put a limit on the number of experiences you can enter.
It's recommended that PA applicants take the GRE. The PAEA Directory will tell you if each school requires the test or not, so make sure to check each school on your prospective list. Some schools require the test to have been taken within the last five years, and some even have a ceiling of three years.
Shadowing. Describe the type of practice and provider (e.g., dermatology, PA) you observed. Include any procedures you watched (keep it short) and the types of visits (follow-ups, new patient evaluations, presurgical assessments) you witnessed.

A good rule of thumb is to apply to no more than 6 PA programs and identify target schools that align with your goals and bring you closer to your dreams.
We simply CANNOT stress this enough: the BEST time to submit your CASPA application is the day the cycle opens, usually at the beginning of March. Although many PA schools have rolling deadlines, most schools begin reviewing applications the same day CASPA makes the cycle available.
