The Appraisal Institute 2020-2021 15-Hour Equivalent USPAP Course covers the fundamentals of ethical behavior and competent performance expected of professional appraisers. Designed to comply with requirements for state licensed/certified appraisers, the course highlights the role of the appraiser and the impartiality necessary while acting in that role. The course consists of 11 modules, and follows the required topical content established by the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of The Appraisal Foundation (TAF). In addition, appraisers of all types of property (business valuation, personal property, and real property) are often required to comply with USPAP because of their affiliation with various appraisal trade organizations. For example, Appraisal Foundation sponsors who confer personal property designations must implement the minimum personal property qualifications, or the Personal Property Appraiser Qualification Criteria.
