I'd just like to clarify for future reference the etiquette rules on a busy local nine hole course. Can someone advise please?
I used to work at a private 9 hole course. If a group is already at/on the tee, they had priority. There was seldom a line, but the rule was two lines: one for front nine and one for back nine. The two lines alternate for the tee. If there are more than 2 groups in line you are not allowed to make exceptions for group size.
At my 9 hole course, whoever is first to the box is up. We also don't have tee times or a starter.
