You may get on a Registration Waitlist when you attempt to register for a section that is full. When you receive a Registration Add Error stating ‘Full-‘x’ on Waitlist’, select ‘Waitlist’ from the dropdown menu under Action. If there is no space available on the waitlist for that section, you will not have the option to ‘Waitlist’ and the Registration Add Error will indicate ‘Full-Waitlist Full’.

In case you do not get into the class for which you are waitlisted, enroll in a back up class. You can choose to set up a Swap between your back up class and your waitlisted class. This will automatically drop the back up class if you are able to get into the waitlisted class.

There are two types of waitlists: Automatic waitlists are first-come, first-served. When a seat becomes available in the class, the person who's been on the waitlist the longest is automatically enrolled if they meet the eligibility criteria.
Resequenced waitlists use a priority system to determine who is automatically enrolled when a seat becomes available. Priorities are established by the department and are usually based on the student's class standing and/or major.
