General medical terminology courses

This are courses for interpreters who haven't receiving any formal medical training at all.

ProZ.com Healthcare Training sessions

These are training sessions hosted by ProZ.com. These courses are taken by industry professionals who want to advance their skills. Some of them can be purchased in a bundle at discounted prices.

Medical Interpreter Courses

These are programs designed for those interpreters wanting to specialize in medical interpreting. These are the minimum certifications that every medical interpreter should have. Courses vary in length from 40 to 180 hours and more (some even 2000 hours).

Free Interpreter Network courses for remote interpreters

These courses are accessible to all the interpreters who are part of the ProZ.com Interpreter Network or who are completing the process to join. These courses are designed to improve the skills of interpreters who are just starting out and to provide the required certifications for those who wish to start taking calls with ProZ.com.

Video format

Recordings on topics of interest to those in the translation industry that can be viewed on demand. Created with screen and audio activity capture software and streamed from a protected hosting site.

Webinar format

One to two hour online presentations with real-time "question and answer". Conducted with a web-based meeting software, trainer and participants join the class right from their desktops using VOIP or telephone. Ideal for lectures on translation business development, client services and software overview.

Self-paced translator training

Online training trainees can take at their own pace via ProZ.com's e-learning platform, Moodle. It involves the creation of a robust curriculum with short, pre-recorded lessons on specific topics and comprehensive training with quizzes, demos and practices.

Online translation training

Three-hour small group training conducted in real-time. Conducted with a web-based meeting software, trainer and participants join the class right from their desktops using VOIP or telephone. Ideal for CAT tool software training.

One-on-one translation training

Individualized instruction, using online courseware and online meetings. Ideal for consulting services and customized software training.
