How many credit hours can I take this summer? Undergraduate students can take no more than seven hours per term and no more than 12 hours total for the summer. Graduate students should check with their advisor to determine how many hours they can take over the summer.

Your home institution should issue you a transient permission form that says which classes you can take and certifies that you are in academic good standing. A letter certifying good standing is also acceptable.

You may search for classes that fit your schedule in the online class schedule. You will be required to log into Banner in order to actually register. All students must meet with their mentor prior to registering for classes.
At the start of each semester, students have the opportunity to drop or add classes during the Drop/Add period. After the drop/add period, there is a period of time in which students may withdraw from courses.
A course can only be "dropped" during the official drop/add period at the beginning of each semester or part of term. The drop/add period is the window available to edit a schedule prior to becoming official. Dropped courses are removed from the student's class schedule and will not appear on transcripts.
Beginning Fall 2018, University System of Georgia (USG) institutions will be required to designate sections of courses whose course materials exclusively consist of no-cost (open or free textbooks) or low-cost course materials. Courses that meet this criteria will use the following designation.
Withdrawal from a course (s) after Drop/Add. Students who wish to withdraw from a course after drop/add may withdraw on Banweb or come to the Momentum Center. If you have a hold on your account, then you must come to the Momentum Center to withdraw. There is no refund for withdrawing from a course on your schedule.

There is no refund for withdrawing from a course on your schedule. Before the mid-point of a term, a withdrawal equals a grade of W and will not affect your GPA. After the mid-point and withdrawal deadline of a term, a withdrawal equals a grade of WF and will count the same as an F in your GPA.

How does it work? For a student, taking a course offered through eCampus is no different than other courses. A student enrolls in an eCampus course through their home college. The course is 100% online and is taught by a TCSG college instructor.
All coursework is online and eCampus courses may have a different start date than the other on-campus courses. The student will still have a relationship with their home institution and have full access to student services such as academic advisement, financial aid, and tutoring.
If an undergraduate student has not registered for classes within three semesters of his or her last enrolled semester, he or she will be required to apply for readmission to UGA as a former undergraduate student.
If a student fails to enroll in the semester for which admission or readmission is granted, he or she will be required to reapply for admission. Advisors or their designees must enter a registration clearance code indicating a student has been advised before being permitted to register. Prior to an advising appointment, a student should be aware of any special authorizations or prerequisites to courses under consideration for registration.
Drop begins on the first day of classes and continues until midnight of the fifth day of classes for all undergraduate level courses (0097 - 5999) and all graduate level courses (6000 - 9999).
Time Conflicts. Students will not be allowed to register for courses with a time conflict. Please note, however, if a course has VR (variable) or TBA (to be announced) listed, registration cannot check for a conflict.
