Upper-class course grades must be turned in no later than five weeks after the last day of final exams. A financial sanction will be imposed on a faculty member who fails to meet this deadline.

Restrictive Early Action

Applying to Harvard under the Restrictive Early Action program empowers you to make a college choice early. Early applicants apply by November 1 and hear from us by mid-December.

Applications that are received in the mail will be treated equally by the Admissions Committee. However, applications submitted online are processed faster and allow your school officials to submit their part of your application online as well. Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)

Core GPA

UT calculates a weighted core GPA based on your grades in the courses listed below. Completion of all sixteen core courses is not required for admission but strongly encouraged.

Optional Standardized Test Scores

Students applying for admission for the Fall 2021 semester have the option to submit ACT or SAT scores as part of their application.

When is the deadline for early action?

Early Action has an application deadline of October 15. Applying through Early Action allows students an expedited process to know an application decision sooner- typically before December 1. This gives students admitted in EA more time to explore UGA before the commitment deadline.

Is admission competitive in college?

Admission is competitive as there are a limited number of spaces available in the first-year class. Ad mission standards depend on the number and quality of students who apply each year , thus varying accordingly.

Can a felony impede your ability to complete certain academic programs?

Students who have previously been convicted of a felony are advised that their prior criminal history may impede their ability to complete the requirements of certain academic programs and/or to meet licensure requirements for certain professions.

Is Stony Brook selective?

Stony Brook is a highly selective institution, seeking to enroll those students who demonstrate the intellectual curiosity and academic ability to succeed. Applicants are evaluated on an individual basis. There is no automatic cutoff in the admission process, either in grade point average, rank, or test scores.
