The CWI Certification Program is designed to promote industry self-regulation and assist owner/operators of climbing facilities in training staff to a minimum, consistent standard of care. The curriculum can be easily integrated into existing staff training and professional development programs.
The CWI Certification Course is designed as an 8-hour program. Course fee includes the $45 CWA CWI Certification fee. Day 2 covers the CWI Lead Endorsement curriculum and is available for an additional fee of $89. We must have a minimum of 6 participants to run this course.

The Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI) is administered by the Mountain Training and trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on climbing walls.
You must be at least 18 years old. You must have attended a Climbing Wall Instructor (or Climbing Wall Award) training course or have been granted exemption from training. To get started on the Climbing Wall Instructor qualification you need to meet the following prerequisites: You must be at least 17 years old (18 at assessment) You should have at least 6 months of experience of using a variety of climbing walls.
