External Examinations

The Kenya National Examinations Council will offer External examinations for the Diploma in Applied Biology.

Duration

The course duration is 2970 hours and is organized into 3 stages (3years) each stage has 990hours or 1 year equal to 3 terms.

Project work

A project in this context means a piece of work carried out by an individual trainee or by a group of trainees. It may be practical, mathematical, evaluative, and descriptive or research based project. The project will have well defined objectives so that trainee/trainees will have something definitive to aim at, without inhibiting their initiative

Project selection

For external examinations the trainees will carry out at least two projects, one of which will be related to the trade and will be assessed by the Kenya National Examinations Council, while the other one will be an entrepreneurship project which will be submitted to the Kenya National Examinations Council for validation.
