Interactive video (ITV) allows students to attend a course at a location other than the host campus (campus offering the course). Locations are predetermined by the offering department/college before registration.
Interactive Television, also known as ITV, is when an instructor teaches at one particular place but is live broadcasted to different locations for students to attend and participate.
Interactive Television classes are classes that are aired at one campus and sent electronically to other campuses. The ITV class has a specific time and place requirement that has the student meet a regular schedule. All sections of the class have access to the instructor via technology.
Interactive TV provides a richer and more efficient television experience. It can combine Traditional TV viewing with a back channel (return path), thus offering the interactivity enjoyed by those communicating through a network, such as the Internet.
