Led by Anne Hook, a UND alumna and adjunct instructor, the course focuses on the theory and practice of public speaking, as well as perfecting speech content, organization, and delivery. There is a total of 10 online lessons and two open-book exams, for which students are required to record speeches and upload them to the school’s online portal.
Due to the short syllabus of this course, you will find only a select few topics covered here. These topics are elocution, inflection, projection, voice clarity, and enunciation. This course focuses more on the “speaking” part of “public speaking”, and less so on the “public” aspect of it.
