Financial Aid Probation is a status assigned to you when you fail to make SAP at the end of an evaluation period, however you have successfully appealed to have your financial aid reinstated.
Clinical practicum sites will require the purchase of a white lab coat with the HCC student patch attached. All uniform and supplies are the responsibility of the student. Students should wear closed-toe, comfortable footwear, professional dress, with the moderate use of makeup, jewelry, and perfume.
Students who have completed a course and earned a grade of "D" or "F" are eligible for CLEP credit in a subsequent semester. Students who have withdrawn or dropped a course are eligible for CLEP credit the following semester.
If being placed on academic probation does NOT affect your financial aid eligibility, breathe a (slight) sigh of relief. You aren't entirely off the hook -- you will have to get your grades up to get off of academic probation -- but you aren't immediately at risk of losing federal financial aid for the semester.
This can trigger a financial aid suspension because you are not meeting the requirements for receiving scholarships, grants, work-study money, or student loans. While you are on financial aid suspension, you cannot receive any federal, state, or institutional financial aid.
