They far beat other state schools rushing to get their online programs going that are new to the space. SNHU uses Brightspace, a very user-friendly software! The courses vary in difficulty, just as they would at any other university. You've got students that put in varying amounts of effort, and it probably translates in the gradebook.

I was made to feel like a part-time, insignificant obligation by almost all of my instructors, was graded incorrectly by many, and received no guidance. Fortunately the online learning systems used are manageable- myitlab/mymathlab, so are you are able to learn if you REALLY put your best foot forward. I was fortunate enough to transfer my credits to a good school and pursue a degree that will actually mean something. Look elsewhere for a meaningful degree.

To get national accreditation, SNHU must also focus on the geographical locations and have to be forced to offer more in-person courses in order to reduce the chance of cheating and phishing (a form of scamming the university through coursework). Professors must be nationally recognized from the board of their own profession, such as Architecture which requires certification from intensive written examination with a passing score of at least 90% and sit in front of the panel defending your work. SNHU’s professors are not certified nationally.

They were short in shutting SNHU down because of illegal practices in withholding financial aid. They have changed that in 2017 and are no longer withholding financial aid for your money out of pocket. Also, federal government, such as Department of Justice, has kept investigating SNHU for low tuition prices and it is still ongoing, meaning they might not be able to bring forward a legal charges against the university for a long time. SNHU is always under investigation, no matter what year you are enrolled into SNHU.
