From the navbar, go to Content and select Table of Contents on the left side. Click the action menu from Table of the Content at the top and select Delete All Modules. Choose the second option: “Permanently delete all modules, topics, and all associated files and activities from the course” and click the Delete button.
D2L Support can restore the following items within 30 days of being deleted. In the Data Restore Request, please include the type of object that needs restored and the required information for support to restore the object. Assignment name, User impacted, and when the submission was made are required.
Delete course offeringsFrom the Admin Tools menu, click Course Management.To find the course offering you want to delete, in the Offerings tab, enter a course name in the Search For field.Select the check boxes beside the course offerings you want deleted.Click Delete Selected.
If you delete a category that contains grade items, the items will not be deleted unless you select them as well. Click Grades. Verify you are in Manage Grades (this is the default page but can be changed). Click More Actions and select Delete.

If the content was deleted, you can restore it from the LE itself. If the content was overwritten through content import, contact D2L Support and provide the module name, date, and time that needs to be restored.

Once a file has been successfully submitted to an assignments, you can't delete it. However, if you have the ability to make another submission, re-submit the file and make sure to also contact your instructor and let them know that you are re-submitting a file to the assignment.
Log into D2L and go to the desired course. Click on Assignments from the Assessments drop-down menu. Identify the assignment in which you would like to delete a student's submissions. Click the little arrow that follows the assignment titled and select View Submissions.
In all D2L courses requested through MAX, student adds and drops automatically carry through from Banner to D2L. For these D2L courses, there is no need to manually remove students who have dropped. Automatically, once a day, Banner will direct D2L to unenroll students who have dropped.
In courses created via MAX, if a student has not yet officially dropped the course via the Registrar's Office, manually removing that student will not work. Because the student is still recorded in Banner as registered for the course, they will be automatically re-enrolled into the D2L course daily.
To delete all course content from your Canvas course: 1 Navigate to the course with the content you wish to delete. 2 From the course navigation menu, select Settings. 3 In the "Settings" sidebar at the right, select Delete All Course Content. You will be prompted to confirm. To proceed, click Reset Course Content, or click Cancel to cancel. 4 If you selected Reset Course Content, a completely new course shell with a new ID (the number following "https://iu.instructure.com/courses/...") will be generated. All users previously enrolled in the course will remain enrolled.
Completely resetting your course is a two-step process. First, you'll delete the existing course content, and then you'll reapply the default settings for the course. When new SIS and manually created courses are generated in Canvas, the course home page, navigation, and settings are automatically updated to reflect defaults established by Indiana University or your campus, school, or department (for more about course defaults, see Distribute templates to Canvas courses in your campus, school, or department ).
You may overwrite your course syllabus or other content in your course with content in the default template. If you already created content in your course site, you may want to consider making a copy of your course before applying the template. If you made customizations to the settings or navigation of the course, you may need to reset them.
