Apr 14, 2022 · EMT Refresher (Hybrid) – Davie. This course is for currently certified NCEMTs who wish to refresh to the national education standards or any EMT, less than two years expired, can take this course to sit for an NCOEMS certification test. Currently certified EMTs upon successful completion of this course, the student will be re-certified to the National Ed Standards for EMT.
Refresher Course for Certified EMTs EMT200 Designed to meet the National and Arizona Department of Health Services (A-DHS) recertification for EMTs. Enhances the knowledge base of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and reinforces basic skills competencies.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN REFRESHER 1.5 Units NON-DEGREE APPLICABLE EMT 141 provides established and new educational concepts for the licensed EMT. This course is designed for students interested in re-certifying their state EMT card. The course provides the required 24 hours of continuing education to re-certify as an EMT.

EMT 140 class which combines theory and clinical experiences to enable students to seek entry level work in that field. This course prepares students for entry-level employment as a first responder, administering emergency care to sick and injured persons.
Note: Student must be eighteen years of age prior to the last day of class. In addition to the scheduled hours, twenty-four hours of ride along must be completed in order to be eligible to pass the class. Lecture 6.5 hours/Laboratory 6.0 hours. Prerequisite: EMT 139. Course Typically Offered: Fall/Spring.
EMT 139 introduces foundational concepts related to the emergency medical care of sick and injured persons. This course is designed for students interested in pursuing emergency medical services or other healthcare occupations as a career.

Many fire departments require EMT certification as a condition of hiring. Pre-med students often start their education in the Aims EMT program. High school students can earn high school credit while earning an EMT certificate at Aims.
The Aims EMT faculty and staff are all experienced in the field and many are Aims EMS program graduates. Learn from instructors who have worked in countless emergency scenarios and can teach you how to succeed in your career.
Refresher courses are designed for those EMS professionals who may not have the opportunity to attend monthly continuing education courses. It is encouraged that EMS professionals register for the course associated with their level of credential with an end date that occurs before the credential expires.
The tuition waiver is limited to municipally employed EMS professionals. EMS professionals employed by privately owned EMS agencies or non-emergency transport services do not qualify for the tuition waiver under the North Carolina Administrative Code pertaining to community colleges.
The EMS program runs a standard rotating series of classes and refresher courses for EMS professionals. Additionally, the EMS program offers multiple specialty courses taught by award-winning and well-renowned faculty.
