To present slides with embedded questions for synchronously delivered lectures, start by uploading a slideshow into Top Hat via the Upload Slides button in the Create menu.

Outside of presenting, the only other way to make content visible to students in your Top Hat course is by assigning it. To assign a piece of content, select it in the content tree and click the Assign button to the upper-right of the preview pane.
Using the Gradebook
The Top Hat Gradebook stores all student response data for gradable content that you present or assign in your course, as well as any attendance sessions you run. The Gradebook is designed in a grid layout. The arrangement of the columns in your Gradebook grid will reflect the order of the content in your content tree.
