How to Save a Created Course (Super Mario Maker) Once you’ve created a course, save it to play later or upload it so others can enjoy it too. The courses you’ve saved can be accessed via Coursebot on the Main Menu.

To save levels in Super Mario Maker 2, you'll need to be in the Course Maker mode, as you might expect. In Course Maker you'll have an array of options around the edges of the screen. The Save/Load option can be found on the right side of the screen, as the icon with a robot's head.
There's a Save option that comes up after completing certain levels, mainly fortresses and castles. Every time you press that it permanently saves your progress.
Super Mario Maker 2 allows you to create the ultimate Mario level, but that's good for nothing if you can't save your work. Fortuntely, the game does have a save option that allows you to save your levels and continue working on them later.
While you can only upload 32 courses for others to play online, there are 120 save slots at your disposal. You'll be able to fine tune your creations before determining if they are good enough for others to play.

While in a game in one of the Nintendo Switch Online Classic Game Libraries, press buttons ZL+ZR* to open the Suspend Menu, then select Create Suspend Point. Select an available save slot to store your game progress. Once saved, the selected slot will display the timestamp of when the Suspend Point was created.
Save before quitting We're not sure why Nintendo chose to make this necessary, but make sure you save your game before quitting New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe because there isn't an auto-save system.
Luckily, there is nothing you need to do to save your progress in Mario Party Superstars. At the beginning of every round of turns, the game will automatically save. You can make sure this is done by watching the bottom of the screen where it will tell you.

To save the level to a new slot, use the Save As function once more. Using the Save function also allows the course to be shared by using the Upload option. The Save dialog expands with new options after a level has been saved.
