Even though we are all sinners Christians don’t sin willfully and deliberately. 6. 1 John 2:4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 7. 1 John 3:6 Those who live in Christ don’t go on sinning.

The true believers and Christians today are not found in this world’s famous Christian denomination. Throughout the history, Christians have been a small, persecuted group of people. They are known to be a little flock (Luke 12:32).
19. The ones who hate Christianity are the ones who admire the devil. John 8:44 “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.
When Christians pray, we often ask for many things. We ask to be granted various forms of aid and to be relieved of suffering for ourselves and for others. This is quite understandable, and we should continue to do so. However, we also need to remember that the story for Christians is the story of Christ, and his story is one of suffering.
There are so many stories of persecution that deserve our attention, and they span the globe, from the Middle East to Asia to Africa to South America. To highlight one story, there is nothing more painful for a parent than to lose his or her child.
The Gospel Coalition recently wrote a piece on QAnon, which they described as a satanic cult. Carter (May 20, 2020) wrote, “As Adrienne LaFrance writes, ‘To look at QAnon is to see not just a conspiracy theory but the birth of a new religion.’” Indeed. That new religion is a satanic cult that bears no resemblance to Christianity.
In Martin Luther King, Jr., we can see Jesus. In his famous, I’ve Been to the Mountaintop speech, he said, “All we say to America is be true to what you said on paper…. Somewhere I read of the freedom of assembly. Somewhere I read of the freedom of speech. Somewhere I read of the freedom of press.
Christianity Today’s retired editor in chief Mark Galli (December 2019) wrote a powerful statement regarding Trump’s impeachment, in which he declared that Trump should be removed from the office because of his character weaknesses and his conduct. Galli’s statement took courage, and he deserves credit for it.
While the “Christian right” morally contorts themselves into pretzels to avoid what is clearly a difficult choice for them between Jesus and Trump, the persecuted church has no such difficulties.
When Peter told Jesus that he should not die on a cross, Jesus responded quickly: “Get behind me Satan.”. Jesus knew full well that it was not Peter who was suggesting that he avoid the cross: it was the devil speaking though Peter. Satan merely put that idea into Peter’s mind - and then it came out of his mouth.
He wants to “gulp us down” by the power of his words, with the intent of destroying our life. In Ephesians 6:16 the devil’s “words” are referred to as “flaming arrows.”. When Paul wrote this, he was using the analogy of the Roman soldier’s weapon.
Luke chapter 4 records the temptation of Jesus when he ventured into the wilderness. Three times in that chapter it states the devil “ SAID to Him…”. That’s how the devil tried to “devour” Jesus: he SAID “stuff” to him.
The arrows would not only draw blood once they penetrated the skin, but also burn. Obviously, the goal was to completely destroy their enemies. And this is the same goal of our adversary.
Satan is an opportunist. He knows WHEN to offer you an idea. For instance, sir, when he sees you at home alone – the wife and kids gone – he knows it’s a good time to suggest that you look at porn. He knows that when we are ALONE it is always a good time to give us an idea on what to do - and his ideas are destructive.
If you receive and act on those words, they may well “take you out” - or BURN you. This is how the devil attacked Jesus. He did NOT physically attack Jesus. What he did was TALK to Jesus: he simply made suggestions. Luke chapter 4 records the temptation of Jesus when he ventured into the wilderness.
Jesus simply did not put up with it. Once when Jesus was in a synagogue, a man with an evil spirit began to act out. Luke 4:35 is quite clear on Jesus’ response: “…Jesus rebuked him and said, ‘ Be silent …’”. And this is what you and I must do. We must be quick in our response lest we give him ground.
The best way to avoid being one is to make sure you have truly put your trust in Christ alone for salvation. When you have repented and put your faith in Christ that will lead to a change of life.
When you have repented and put your faith in Christ that will lead to a change of life. Follow God and educate yourself with his Word. Many people follow false teachings from the Bible given by false preachers or they just refuse to obey instructions from God and follow their own minds.
7. 1 John 3:6 Those who live in Christ don’t go on sinning. Those who go on sinning haven’t seen or known Christ. 8. 1 John 3:8-10 The person who practices sin belongs to the evil one, because the Devil has been sinning from the beginning.
Fake Christians sin on purpose saying, “I’ll just repent later” and disobey God’s teachings. Even though we are all sinners Christians don’t sin willfully and deliberately.
The ones who hate Christianity are the ones who admire the devil. John 8:44 “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.
A.W. Tozer. “We aren’t called to be like other Christians; We are called to be like Christ.” -Stacy L. Sanchez. 1. The world hates us because we are not part of the world. John 15:19 “The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world.
The world hates us because of our mission. Unbelievers love their self-righteousness. We have to tell people who think they’re good and have been doing the things society thinks will take them to Heaven that their good works mean nothing and their good deeds are just filthy rags. Pride is killing us.
1 Corinthians 1:18 “The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.”
Mind you, the Israelites had just seen one of the greatest displays of God’s power that the world has ever seen when He threw 10 whopper plagues at the Pharaoh to set them free.
Therefore the strength of Pharaoh shall be your shame, and trust in the shadow of Egypt shall be your humiliation.” (Isaiah 30:1) “ If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword ;” for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. (Isaiah 1:19)
However, God then states that He will allow Joshua, Caleb and all the men under 20 years of age to go in there to conquer and possess the land – all because they had a “different spirit” in them and because they would be willing to “follow God fully.”.
Being willing to fully follow God means that you are willing to enter into this full surrender with Him where He will be the One who will fully guide your steps in this life – not you or anyone else. Here are two more good verses showing the negative consequences of not being willing to fully follow God in this life.
When God sees their lack of faith and belief in Him that He could conquer these lands for them, He threw up His hands and said that was going to be it. He pronounced a severe judgment on them, telling them that all of the men 20 years of age and older would not enter into the Promised Land due to their lack of faith and belief in Him to be able ...
Christian evangelism often is the equivalent of a randy young teenager trying to get in good with his new girlfriend. When your personal agenda is more important than the humanity of the person you’re talking to, most people can sense the opportunism from a mile a way. “You should come to church with me on Sunday.”.
The closest thing I can come up with is “To everything, there is a season,” but that’s not exactly the same. The fact is that faith, by definition, is not reasonable. If it could be empirically verified with facts or by using the scientific method, it wouldn’t be faith. It would be a theory.
