Students will compose a brief essay that takes all the genres of writing they've explored this term (writing that informs, writing that analyzes, and writing that persuades) and uses skills learned in each project to push beyond mere information, analysis, and persuasion and drives deeper to reflect upon a core idea or belief.
On the other, if a paper does not fit the targeted audience, then it becomes difficult to identify it as a good quality paper because it lacks a purpose.
