I have a course currently setup for training. Its is setup with course completion, based on a single activity completion. The one activity is a "Choice".
I have done some more testing and can confirm that my "Activity Completion" and "Course Completion" are not working properly. I have tested a couple times and from a 'student' account I can complete the "Choice" activity and it will show a 'tick' in the completion box next to the activity.
If course completion tracking is on and updated via the Completion Tracking link in the Settings block for the course to be complete when the Choice activity is complete then the Course Completion report (under reports in the Navigation block) should display a course completed tick/no tick column for all enrolled participants (you can also download the report to excel).
Actually it does appear to be working partially, double checked what you specified and read again the Moodle Doc on "Course Completion". Whats happening now is the the report for "Activity Completion" is updating, but it is not updating "Course Completion", see attachments.
The major issue with this not updating was the Cron updater, who ever did the installation I guess skimmed over this part. After setting it up MoodleCron-Setup package it all is working as to be expected.
I am having an identical problem -- activity and course completion are both enabled at the site level and in the specific course. Activities are revealed to the student using "completion" conditionals, and the student sees their checkmarks show up beside the activity. As the teacher, I can see the students' activity completion records correctly.
