Increasing TDP on laptop for better performance

So I have an Asus 2500u X505ZA that I've tried using with CEMU. Performance was generally underwhelming (540p ish, <60 fps), and people told me to upgrade to dual channel RAM. I upgraded to 16 GB and performance really improved in a lot of games ... but not much at all in CEMU.

Xenoblade chronicles X vulcan flickering temporary fix

So apparently, the only temporary fix for the vulcan flickering in this game that I know is to use reshade's smaa and set it to luma edge detection. Disable the AA in the graphic packs. It does reduce the flickering to a tolerable amount.

Super Mario 3D World Gamepad Issues

I wanted to complete the Captain Toad levels in Super Mario 3D world, and set the inputs as such (Device - Gamepad). However, when I go into the game, only the touch part of the gamepad is recognized, with inputs not being recognized. This is for both Keyboard and XInput. I tried resetting the settings, but that didn't help.
