Recommendation Deadline

Recommendation has to be submitted on or before 10th, Aug for spring 2020 or it can be submitted later as well?? As I read that recommendation gets matched with the application when received.

Best strategy to prepare for GA?

I'll be taking CS6515: Graduate Algorithms (aka "GA") in Fall 2021, and have started watching the lecture videos and reading the textbook. The first lesson is on dynamic programming, and, frankly, I am finding most of the practice problems, assigned from the book, to be confounding.

The Calm before the Storm - or - The Friday before School Starts

I am starting my first semester with OMSCS. Having applied almost a year ago, it has felt like a long road. Ten months of stressing about being accepted, getting paperwork processed on time (still waiting for one transcript), deciding on which classes I would like to take, and all the while trying to contain my excitement and eagerness to start.

I just wanted to say a general thanks for all the knowledge contained in this subreddit. I am officially registered for my first semester in one of my second choice classes (seems Intro to Effective Commenting isn't a thing in OMSCS), and I have all you good people to thank for it.

Less demanding classes that are still worth taking
