There are three ways for students to access the My Grades page: From inside a course 1) click My Grades on the left course menu, 2) click Student Tools on the course menu then My Grades. To see grades for all courses 3) access the Blackboard Global Navigation Menu (click your name in the upper right) and click the My Grades icon.

Two statistics reports are available for Blackboard tests. Use these reports to examine the results for a test that covers objectives used in assessment. Using the pull down menu next to the column name in the full grade center, choose Attempt Statistics or Item Analysis. Attempt Statistics shows response statistics on each question for the class.
Policies regarding grades can be found in the KU Policy Library . The GPA is a quotient determined by dividing the number of grade points earned by the number of credit hours attempted and graded A, B, C, D and F.

If you have submitted an assignment and you don't see a grade, that means the instructor has probably not graded the assignment yet. The yellow exclamation point icon means that the assignment still needs grading.

For Blackboard tests and quizzes the majority of questions are automatically graded. Your instructor defines the correct answers and assigns a certain number of points to each question when the test is created. The system validates your answers against the key and assigns the score. You may see your score immediately after completing the test or when your instructor releases this information.
Above the list of gradable items, narrow the list by selecting All, Graded, Upcoming, or Submitted. For example, Graded shows only items that have been graded by the instructor.
The My Grades page shows the status of gradable items, such as tests, assignments, journal and blog entries, and discussion posts. The My Grades page may include item names and descriptions, due dates, student and instructor dates of activity, posted grades, points possible, links to rubrics used for grading, and your instructor's comments and feedback.

The Grade Center in Blackboard is a place for instructors to track student performance. The Grade Center can calculate grades, organize student-submitted assignment documents, record the last time each student accessed the course and include point-and-click rubrics that can be used to facilitate scoring of assignments.

Click Full Grade Center. Put your cursor on the Manage button. Select Column Organization. Position the mouse pointer on the cross icon to left of the column you wish to move. Press and hold the left mouse button, drag the column up or down to change the order of the columns.
The Weighted Total column in the Grade Center can be set to assign percentages of the final grade to columns and categories. This is an alternative to using a straight points total.
Secondary Display allows you to display an alternative grade category (e.g. percentage, letter). Secondary Display is visible only in the instruction view of the Grade Center. It is not displayed to students.

You can export the Blackboard Grade Center as an Excel file. You can choose to download the entire Grade Center or one selected column or student data only. Any downloaded student or grade data should be stored and handled appropriately. Some instructors enter grades offline and then upload them to Blackboard.
Type a user's KU Online ID (Example: a123b456) -or- click Browse to search for a user. Only users that are not already enrolled in your course will be listed in the search results. Select or type as many usernames as needed. Separate multiple usernames with commas.
Creating groups in Blackboard gives each group a private workspace where the members can email, exchange files and participate in a group discussion board — activities not visible to students belonging to other groups. Groups can be created one at a time or in sets. Instructors pick which communication options are available to the groups.

A grader assists the instructor in the creation, management, delivery, and grading of items such as tests and discussion board posts. A grader also assists the instructor with managing the Grade Center. A grader cannot access a course if it is unavailable to students.
Blackboard User Roles control access to the content and tools within a course. Each user is assigned a role for each course they participate in. For example, a user with a role of teaching assistant in one course can have a role of student in another course. The course role is set when a user is enrolled. After enrollment, you can edit the role from the Control Panel .

Splitting students off into groups is helpful for project collaboration, study and help sessions or to create peer review opportunities. Discussion boards, blogs, wikis, journals and other collaborative tools and features can each be made available on a per-group basis, if desired. The benefits of student collaboration in Blackboard groups are like those found in the classroom and include developing communication skills and enhancing students' connection with others. Blackboard groups promote delegation, project management, accountability, peer review and self-regulation.
The grade center in Blackboard helps instructors to reduce the amount of time spent managing student performance. The grade center can calculate grades, organize student-submitted assignment documents, display the last time each student has accessed the course and store point-and-click rubrics for assignment scoring.
To modify the My Courses module click on the My Blackboard tab at the top left of the screen. Put your cursor on the blue My Courses header. Click the "gear" icon in the top-right corner to manage the settings. [View screenshot] 11.
Put your cursor on the My Courses header bar and click the gear icon on the right. Locate the row for the course that you would like to reveal and click the checkbox under Select All. This should restore the view of a previously hidden course. Click Submit to save any changes.

Blackboard's Test and Survey options allow instructors to control the availability, presentation, and feedback of their course assessments. Instructors can create test availability exceptions, provide test results and feedback to students and attach due dates to assessments.
Course shells are automatically created in Blackboard for every section of every course that exists in Enroll & Pay. Sometimes a Blackboard course is created before an instructor has been assigned to teach the class. Sometimes the instructor of record changes before the start of the semester.
