· From solid rocket launches, to commercial spaceflight, to nuclear exploration beyond the Kerbol system, this campaign is for you! This campaign is a large series of missions designed to present a logical sequence of space development, at a pace matching historical spaceflight, modern missions, and future planned spaceflight.
In case of survey missions, selecting one of the marks opens a short check window, clicking on the Activate Navigation activates the navigation system and targets the chosen location. The deactivation of the chosen target goes on same way. There is only one location can be targeted in the same time, naturally.
Adding a maneuver node Click on the vessel's orbital line and a popup will give the option to add a new maneuver node. Once created, selecting and right-clicking the node gives the option to delete it. If the maneuver node has been passed, selecting it immediately puts it in "delete" mode.
It wasn't easy, and it's just a game, but no other game I've ever played has given me the same sense of accomplishment. That is why Kerbal Space Program is so hard. It's not supposed to be easy.
Press R to turn on RCS, then use WASD, SHIFT, and CTRL. Turn on Docking Mode (bottom left corner) and then press V a few times to turn the camera to CHASE mode. This is probably the easiest way to use RCS thrusters.

A maneuver is performed using the satellite's propulsion subsystem to fire thrusters and bring about a change in the orbital elements. A maneuver may involve one or more burns. There are three common types of maneuvers: Orbit raising maneuver - increases the semi-major axis.
The orbit simulation is quite accurate, including how to change inclination, raise/lower orbits, leave a planet, and approach a new planet. The staging is somewhat accurate. The use of fuel, acceleration, mass, etc.
Kerbal Space program is a spyware program that mines large amounts of personal information of its users, to use for its own advertising, and to sell to other advertisers. On its face, it is a video game, but it is loaded with a huge amount of spyware that makes it completely unusable from a privacy standpoint.
It was a proper achievement, too. Not a pat-on-the-back trophy, created to convey incremental progress, but the successful completion of a challenging, self-made goal. The entire process—from failure, to revision, to hope, to euphoric completion—cemented for me why Kerbal Space Program is one of the best games on PC.
Go in to dockIng mode linear. Turn on RCS . Push left stick forward for forward momentum. Pull back for reverse momentum.
RCS thrusters controlled the spacecraft's attitude (roll, pitch, and yaw). They were fixed thrust, cold nitrogen gas pressurized, self-contained propulsion systems using storable, hypergolic (self-igniting) propellants of nitrogen tetroxide and monomethyl hydrazine and therefore did not need an ignition system.
When active, SAS will provide input to stability systems to dampen craft rotation and, depending on capabilities, lock onto a specific orientation. The user can override the current rotation for any axis. Since it controls heading, it can be extremely useful for lander missions.

KerbalEdu is an official standalone version that’s aimed for educational purposes. It is published by Teachergaming LLC and built on top of Kerbal Space Program developed by Squad. It is available for everyone to purchase and with discount to schools. It is aimed to support both in school and independent learning in math curriculums ...
Evaluate competing design solutions using a systematic process to determine how well they meet the criteria and constraints of the problem.
Force arrows show the forces affecting your spacecraft. You can use force arrows by attaching “force arrows” - part to your spacecraft. Then all the forces that affect your spacecraft will be showed as holographic arrows.
Compliance with the educational standards. KerbalEdu can be used practically with any age group to demonstrate physics concepts and engineer creative solutions through experimentation. While the game is indeed single player students can work in teams with members responsible from different aspects of the mission.
Kerbol 2: The Kerbols - First manned missions to explore Kerbol.
A campaign series of increasing difficulty and with a natural progression, based on real-life historical or planned future missions. Each campaign is submitted and edited by users, and some are unfinished or not yet tested, so feel free to contribute.
The Colony - Build space colonies of 100 Kerbals.
If you find your rocket is wobbling around alot, strut your stuff and slap on some struts. Alternatively, find a mod that reduces or even eliminates this wobbling, because it could lead to the whole rocket coming apart and blowing up.
Exploring The System a comprehensive, 35-vehicle and 52-mission, design campaign by Pecan.

Career mode has been overhauled with contracts, reputation, and funding as of update 0.24 ( First Contract ), see the Career mode page for more information. There are however community-developed campaigns below if you want to be challenged with the current sandbox.
Then you can start thinking "Great, I have a piece of junk in orbit of my planet." To reenter Kerbin, you need to burn retrograde. That sounds fancy, but if you have enough fuel just turn your rocket until you see the green circle with a cross in the middle: . Point directly at it and burn. You do not have to aim the landing site, even not the ground, because the atmospheric drag modifies the trajectory. It is enough to lower the periapsis of a low circular orbit to 35-40 km. This altitude ensures effective aerobraking, but avoids the damage of the craft. The position of the landing site can be operated with the timing of the braking. In case of a 70 kms high circular orbit the landing site is approximately under that 35-40 km high periapsis.
Rocket Launch Stage 7. Second launch stage. Releases the support braces, called TT18-A Launch Stability Enhancers, at the bottom of the Kerbal X Rocket (the open frame supports capped with the red cap) Rocket Launch Stage 6. This, the third, launch stage releases two of the boosters from the main rocket.
Pressing the spacebar separates the main engine that helped the boosters get the rocket into space from the second stage of the rocket. Rocket Launch Stage 2. Activates the smaller engine attached directly to the capsule. Rocket Launch Stage 1.
Click on the store, there should be a program labeled “Kerbal Space Program” available for purchase. There are also two DLCs available for purchase: "Making History" and "Breaking Ground"
To "break" the rocket in the correct place, simply point your mouse at the section below the separator ring, the black and yellow ring with the red square on it, and do a left-mouse-click (LMC) once. This selects the fuel cell that is underneath of the separator ring and everything below that section of the rocket.
Once you're out, if you're going into orbit all you need is a LV-N, 909 or a Poodle, depending on your preference.
You can bring up your navball on the map, by clicking on the small arrow on the hiding navball's top for controlling the craft, and see your resources on the map by clicking on the jerrycan. Pressing the F2 hides/displays the whole GUI.

Obtaining Science is necessary in Career or Science mode to unlock higher technology spacecraft parts from R&D. These upgraded parts will help your Kerbals become an interplanetary species quickly and easily.
Which means that you need to find water in the Badlands, Desert, Grasslands, Highlands, Ice Caps, Mountains, and Tundra. And you need to figure out a way to land on top of the water without being "splashed down". Also, there are 33 KSC mini biomes you can get science from, so get out and take a walk around the KSC.
Actually, Kerbal Space Center alone is made up of 33 different biomes; the rest of the planet is not as finely detailed, but Mountains, Deserts, Icecaps and so on are easy to make out from above. Badlands also exist, but are much harder to find (since they are mostly on the other side of the planet).
A "situation" or "status" is the current condition of the craft or Kerbal: landed, splashed down, flying, etc.
Badlands: Almost all the Badlands on Kerbin surround a giant mountain on the other side of the planet from KSC. However, there is a big hill at the south end of the KSC continent. Next to that hill is a tiny crater with a tiny pond at the bottom. The northeast side of that crater is Badlands.
The current technology tree takes over 16000 Science Points to unlock completely, so it is fairly important to efficiently gather as much as possible of the Science that is available.
Probably the most convenient means of recovering these results is to just recover the science modules, but this is not the only way: a Kerbal can download the data (right-click during EVA, while in close proximity to the equipment in question) and subsequently transfer it to a pod, capsule, or some other module.
