Westchester Community College offers a number of pathways to help you prepare for a new career! You can get the skills and knowledge you need by enrolling in a non-credit program, or earn college credits through one of our degree or certificate programs.
A student may be granted a maximum of 50 percent of the required credits for a degree or certificate at Westchester Community College through transfer, examination or evaluation. Courses transferred as specific courses (not electives) must be determined to be the equivalent of the Westchester Community College courses they will replace.
Your course will take place remotely via Blackboard and Zoom asynchronously; in addition, your instructor will meet with you on campus (in-person) on scheduled days and times. WCC offers multiple course schedule options with different start dates to maximize convenience for you.
Degree Works can help you search for an open session www.sunywcc.edu/degreeworks. If you need assistance with that, you can reach out to an academic counselor or your faculty advisor. You may find the same class being offered during the 14 week or 7 ½ week semester.

Overall WCC is great and has many options. The Professor are great. They are always willing to help, so you can successful academically. The college has a great mental health support.

Classes may be dropped in person at the registrar's office. For spring and fall semesters, classes can also be added or dropped using the Online Registration system. Warning: Students will lose their official full-time status if, by dropping a course, they are left with fewer than twelve registered credits.
Thirty miles north of New York City, Westchester Community College offers more than 65 degree and certificate programs. The beautiful 218-acre campus includes high-tech science, computer and art labs and a spacious library.
Westchester Community College has always been known as a quality institution with an affordable tuition. Now, with this new program from the state, students who are eligible may attend for free (the scholarship covers tuition but not college fees or other expenses).
Student housing is not currently offered at this or any Westchester Community College campus.

For Fall Admission (September) Applicants for fall admission are encouraged to complete admissions procedures prior to May 1. This enables the college to process applications and notify applicants of admissions decisions on a timely basis.
You must be at least 17 years of age. Your high school class must have already graduated. You must currently be a resident of New York State, and have been for at least one month. You must take the appropriate Westchester Community College Placement Tests and meet the minimum scores for admission.
Any course deemed equivalent to a college-level course at Westchester Community College in which the student has received a grade of “C” (i.e., 2.0) or better will be accepted for transfer credit. All credentials presented for admission to Westchester Community College will become the property of the college and may not be returned to the applicant.
