These survey results are reviewed by your Chairs, Undergraduate Directors, Deans, merit review committees, and promotion/tenure committees. Please encourage your students to complete their course feedback surveys at the end of the semester by dedicating 10 minutes of class time. Students can use mobile devices to complete in-class surveys.
Transfer Credit Services (TCS) oversees the evaluation of undergraduate transfer courses for acceptability by UMD. It is the academic department (administering the course content) that completes the evaluation to determine the acceptability of the courses for transfer to UMD. These are optional and conducted by the instructors of a particular course. At UMD there is a mid-semester evaluation tool in canvas commons (search for TLTC) that was created by the TLTC research team. The scale has been validated for use in face-to-face and online courses.
Are student evaluations anonymous? Yes, student responses are anonymous. Instructors do not know which students responded or what responses individual students provided.
Click on the Course Evaluations gear icon for your class under My Courses. Navigate to the My Teaching Schedule section if your gear icon lights up with a course to be evaluated. Ensure the term is the correct one you want to view.

A: No, this is not possible. Instructors and TA's are not able to see their evaluation reports until they have turned in grades.
Are they anonymous? Abbott said Lindenwood professor evaluations are anonymous. Faculty and administrators cannot see students' names on their evaluations, but they do receive their average ratings for each section and a list of comments, regardless of how small their class is.May 14, 2020

S/N grading S/N means "satisfactory" or "non-satisfactory." This is the University's scale for classes you take "pass/fail." Achievement that is satisfactory, which is equivalent to a C or better for undergraduate students. If allowed by the college or program, credits will count toward the student's degree program.
Transfer courses must be similar in level, scope, content and expected learning outcomes to courses offered at UMD and a grade of "C-" or higher (based on United States grade equivalent) must have been earned for transfer credit to be awarded.
Transfer courses will post to a student's UMD record only from official transcripts received from the institution at which the credit was earned.
