Resigning a Course During the fall and spring semesters, from the 7th day of classes until the end of the 11th week of classes, you may visit your HUB Student Center (via MyUB, UBITName and password required) to resign from one or more of your classes.
You may resign from your coursework by using the HUB Student Center via MyUB. If you would like to resign from a course, it is recommended that you first speak with an academic advisor and financial aid advisor to understand how resigning from a course could potentially affect your academic and/or financial status.

Go in person to the registrar's office to get a class withdrawal sheet. Some institutions also accept withdrawals through email. Look on your school's website for an email address for the registrar's office or the academic advisor's office. When in doubt, contact an academic advisor.

Unofficial withdrawal occurs when the student initially attends class, and at some point stops attending. The instructor will report a last date of attendance and the student will receive an “F” grade for the class. An unofficial withdrawal impacts both your GPA and your Pace/Completion Rate.

Per the NY Times article https://www.nytimes.com/2021/08/20/us/politics/fda-pfizer-covid-vaccine-full-approval.html the FDA is going to approve the Pfizer vaccine, meaning vaccines will be mandatory for UB students, and students who remain unvaccinated will be given an R in all their courses according to UB's Covid info page.

UB offers a number of courses outside of the standard 15-week schedule. For these courses, drop/add dates are based on a proportion of the class equal to that for the standard session. For specific session dates, see your HUB Student Center.
