To make a course " visible ". so that it can be accessed by students, enter the course site in Moodle, click on the gear icon in the upper right, then click on Edit settings, and set the Availability setting to Show. Click on Save and Display at the bottom of the settings screen. Visible courses appear in your Moodle My courses list in blue text.
There are several reasons why your course might not be showing in Moodle. Your instructor has not set the course to 'Visible' yet. All courses are hidden by default. Please see this link for help with course visibility.

The default setting when course are automatically created from SAMIS data is that they are Unavailable to students. Make sure that you make the course Available to students when it is ready for them to use.
Good morning. We have a group of employees who are all assigned the same (company) function, e.g. "truck driver". For each type of truck they drive, they need to participate in a training / Moodle course. Chosing which type of trucks when is trained for is fully to the discretion of the driver, e.g.
This is pretty complex. To answer the title question, I think is out of the Moodle logic to use groups inside a course to restrict the access to the upper level.
