Jul 20, 2020 · Current jobs in the Course Import Tool show the status of a course import. Status can help you view the progress of the import and if there is any action required on your part. An import can display up to five statuses. Notes: Canvas only process one import at a time. Canvas course imports count against course quotas.
In the Students tab, you can view the students who have recently logged in to Canvas. To view user details about a student, click the name of a student. The user details page also allows you to view any online interactions you've had with the student in the course as well as course access information and individual analytics.
Jul 02, 2019 · To access a Canvas course from a past semester: Log into Canvas. Click on the Courses tab from the Global Navigation menu. Then, click on the All Courses link. On the next page, scroll down to view Past Enrollments, where you will be able to view your past courses. Enter a course by clicking on its link.

For example, from your Canvas dashboard, click on a course name. On the course homepage, the course number will appear at the very end of the browser URL. In the example below, the Canvas course number is 71164.
The status of your course displays in the upper-right corner of your course's Home page. Your course must be published before students can access it. Once a course has been published and a student submission has been graded, the course can no longer be unpublished.

Courses from the current term will be listed at the top. Future enrollments for the upcoming term will be at the bottom of the screen. Courses in which you are enrolled in Canvas but have not yet been published by the instructor will show in black font, with the "unpublished" label as pictured above.
View Queued When an import is first uploaded, the status displays as queued. Canvas copies may also display as pre-processing. These statuses both mean that Canvas is preparing the file for import.
Changes made to enrollments in the registration system (Banner) will be synchronized to Canvas every 2 hours - so expected at least a 2 hour delay before changes are reflected in Canvas.May 18, 2021

To view grades in a concluded course: 1) Within the course, click on the Grade tool. 2) Click the Gear icon in the grade book. 3) Select "Show Concluded Enrollments". (Students are set to a "Concluded" status when a course concludes.)

- Resource cards display the number of times a resource has been downloaded or imported and the number of times a resource has been favorited. Users can also sort search results by Most Favorited and Most Downloaded.
You can view totals of the current users in your course in the Current Users list [1]. The Current Users list displays the total number of users in your course who have specific user roles, including students [2], teachers [3], TAs [4], designers [5], and observers [6]. The list will also display custom user roles created by your institution.
In the Totals tab, view running totals of course discussions, assignments, active students, and quizzes.
In the Assignments tab, you can view statistics about assignments in your course including the submission type, number of assignments, and number of submissions.

Canvas Support has removed Canvas courses of past semesters from users' Courses menu and enabled date restrictions on past courses in Canvas to make them read-only. This prevents both students and instructors from making any additional changes to the site.
The read-only status affects your access to certain content in your old Canvas courses.
As with content access, the read-only status prevents you from editing your old Canvas courses, including any attempts at enrolling new people. If you want someone to have access to your old Canvas course, please contact Canvas Support.
Yes! Please note that the read-only status for past courses does not affect the ability for instructors to copy old course content into new Canvas courses. Copying content from an old course into a new course occurs during the course-site creation process.
