Our Mega-Zip offers 800 feet of heart-pumping plunge and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 30 miles per hour! The Canopy Tour is a 90-minute journey through the forest where you will take on the burma bridge, hanging vines, and four zip lines ranging from 90 feet to 470 feet long.
The Massanutten Resort has an adventure park with something for kids of all ages. We tried the Mega zip line, an 800 foot line that gave us quite a view of the place going 30 miles per hour! We also experienced the canopy tour which had several zip lines, hanging bridges, and hiking.
Massenutten has lots of activities to offer on site, however 90% of them cost you money. They have little arts/crafts for the kids that are sometimes free. They also have onsite childcare (they require you to bring copy of child's birth certificate or passport).
No, you do NOT have to stay at Massanutten to utilize the water park--just pay the fees.

The Stone Wall Terrace Recreation Center offers several fun outdoor activities. Kids can race around a track on electric Go-Karts and then knock into each other in bumper cars. They will also get a huge thrill riding the bungee jump inside a huge bungee dome.
There is an outdoor children’s pool at Woodstone Recreation Center and an indoor Children’s pool at Massanutten Fitness Center
The Family Adventure Park offers Snow Tubbing for the whole family. There are 16 lanes that offer a thrilling ride everyone will enjoy. You can go down on your own or link up with friends and kids to ride together.
This activity is better for slightly older kids, and both options have a minimum weight limit of 70 pounds. However, there are smaller courses available for younger children. 2. Play at the Water Park. No matter what time of year you visit Massanutten, you can enjoy summer fun at the resort’s massive water park.
The Massanutten Resort is home to an extensive adventure course, including zip lines and ropes courses. The Mega Zip is a high-speed downhill zip line that’s designed to give you a rush of adrenaline, while the canopy tour is a longer course of zip lines and ropes that let you explore the treetops.
Massanutten is only a little over two hours from Washington, DC, so many people plan a quick day trip to the capitol. Take one of the many guided tour options to make sure you see all the sights or plan your own itinerary. Due to the long drive and large amounts of walking involved, this may be a better option for older kids.
If you’re visiting during the winter, Massanutten is a great place for the whole family to ski together. There are numerous affordable classes for all ages and skill levels, so you can learn to control your descent and ski safely. The slopes and chairlifts are designed with kids and beginners in mind, although there are trickier runs available for more experienced skiers as well.
