If you are using a different theme, click Administration > Course Administration, click on the Import link: Select the course you wish to import from and click Continue. You will be presented with the "backup settings" page. Use the check boxes for import activities, blocks and or filters as types of items which will show on the next screen.
1. Go to the Moodle page for the new course. 2. Find your Administration Block (usually at bottom left) and click Import. 3. On the next screen, you will search for the course you want to import from. The search interface is a bit finicky, so you may want to go to the Moodle site of the old course and copy the course number displayed within the parentheses of the breadcrumb link.

For each course you teach, you can get a single Master Course created. Instructors can use a Master Course to create and store content for a course to be taught in a future semester.

This page contains instructions on how to transfer information from a previous course to a new one. Previously taught course are available from IITS in accordance with our Moodle Long Term Archive/Retention Policy.
Select the course you want to archive or copy into your new course site. If the course was taught within the previous three years, you will need to look on the Moodle archive server to find your course. These are accessible from the Moodle archives link at the top of the current Moodle course site.
In Moodle, select the course to which you want to restore or materials from the archived course.
