When a course at your previous institution matches a WVU course, we assign that course a WVU equivalent course number. For example, if Sociology 100, Introduction to Sociology, at your previous institution is equivalent to Sociology 101, Introduction to Sociology, at WVU, the course will be added to your WVU transcript as Sociology 101.

Use the building code on your course schedule and the building code listing (available for download under Building Information) to determine where your class will be held. You can use campusmap.wvu.edu to find the building's location on campus.
No course may be attempted more than three times unless approved by the dean of the student's major program. A course is attempted when a grade is recorded on the transcript. Some academic units may also count withdrawals as a course attempt.
The WVU Office of the Registrar is able to determine certain equivalencies at the 100/1000 (freshman) and 200/2000 (sophomore) level. If you have 5 or more courses at or below the 200/2000 level, please utilize the following spreadsheet and email us the list for an initial review.

A letter grade of a D is technically considered passing because it not a failure. A D is any percentage between 60-69%, whereas a failure occurs below 60%.
How Does D/F Repeating a Course Impact Promise Renewal? Credit for a course taken again during the same award year (fall, spring, summer) to improve a grade or for any other purpose will only be counted once toward meeting the earned hours requirement to renew the Promise Scholarship for the following award year.
Unfortunately a grade D is not a pass. A grade D is between 40-49 and that is what it's showing, that you are below a C grade.
West Virginia University has an established a database for the ACE (American Council on Education) approved postings on the JST (Joint Service Transcript). Veteran students must submit their JST to the WVU Office of Admissions in order for any coursework to be posted.

WVU accepts all “college-level courses” from “accepted regionally accredited institutions.” Grades and credits are transferable for college-level courses from regionally accredited U.S. institutions. Credit hours do not change when transferred to WVU.
A “synchronous” course refers to an online course with elements that are conducted in real time. No campus visits are required. Students will log in and join at scheduled times to explore content with the instructor, participate in class discussions, conduct group work activities, and/or complete assessments together (or “in sync”).
Your instructor will provide specific information about how the course will function and when you are required to report to campus versus online. If the course has a room assignment and the student does not hear differently from the instructor, they should plan on reporting to campus on the first day of class with the appropriate PPE.

Co-Req: ELET 282. Introduction to frequency spectrum analysis of sinusoidal waveforms, response analysis, and noise effects. Analog modulation techniques to include AM, FM, etc. Frequency domain; real, apparent and reactive power, basic resonant circuit analysis, and system frequency response. Introduction to communication systems, transmission lines, fiber optics, and atmospheric and free space propagation, use of computer circuit simulation software such as Electronics Workbench. Students are required to complete a design project including a formal report and oral presentation.
Areas of focus include biological molecules, membrane structure and function, intracellular sorting, the cytoskeleton, cell adhesion, cell signaling, and bioenergetics. Also includes an introduction to the cells of the immune system, cell death, and cancer. BIOL 417.
PR: CIET 141. Application of surevying principles in the design and construction of engineering works including profiles and cross-sections, construction surveys and earthwork computations. In the field labs, appropriate equipment and techniques are employed in the performance of control and location surveys. Includes extensive use of current computer packages and integration with other relevant software.
PR:MATH 114 and DRET 120. Fundamental concepts of surveying and their use in acquiring the data necessary for preparation of topo-graphic maps. Topics include notekeeping, measurement of distances, angles and elevations on the earth's surface; azimuth and bearing calculations; field traversing and traverse calculations and methods of topographic mapping. Use of appropriate equipment is emohasized in field labs. Use of current computer software is employed where appropriate.
PR:Senior status Seminar on topics relating to imporving processes, design, teamwork, problem solving, communication skills, lifelong learning, professional and ethical issues, total quality, time management, and continuous improvement. Final project aimed at combining the skills and knowledge gained from the various areas of study in the student's field. The student will be expected to report graphically, orally and in written form on a final project approved by a departmental advisor. Presentations will be made to a representative board of the faculty.
