What is PISD eSchool?

What is PISD eSchool? eSchool is Plano ISD’s online learning program offering students the flexibility to meet their academic goals. Students in grades 9-12 can earn credits toward graduation in a variety of courses working at their own pace and in their own space.

When do I need to complete my eSchool course?

You will need to complete your course by July 31 so that the eSchool office has time to report your completion to your home campus. How many eSchool courses can I take at once?

Please Note: Students may enroll in no more than two eSchool courses at one time.

Can 8th graders take eSchool?

Great question! eSchool makes provisions for 8th graders to enroll in our Health course. For all other courses, students who successfully pass 8th grade are eligible to take eSchool courses in the summer before 9th grade. Discuss the possibilities with your middle school counselor. Does Plano ISD use eSchool?

No. For Plano ISD students, grades earned in eSchool courses are not used in computing class rankings. eSchool courses have a neutral impact on a student’s GPA and class rankings. Students that do not attend Plano ISD need to check their district's policy regarding online courses.

When do you have to finish eSchool 2021-2022?

Things to Consider. Students needing to complete their summer eSchool courses prior to the start of the 2021-2022 school year need to be finished by July 31. Students working on courses that won't impact their fall schedule may continue with their courses into the school year.

When do you register for semester 1?

Register for semester 1 of your course by May 21. You will be expected to begin work ASAP (once you receive your welcome letter). You need to complete semester 1 by June 26. You will need to complete semester 2 of your course by July 31. I only need to earn one semester of credit over the summer.

How long do you have to register for online classes?

Register no more than one week before you wish to begin your online course. Make certain that courses are approved for credit by your school counselor. Do not register for both semesters of the same course at the same time. You must finish first semester before you register for second semester.

How many testing periods are required for credit by exam?

When is the CBE exam 2021?

Registered students may complete their online test at their convenience during the following dates: May/June CBE window is May 29 - June 7, 2021. July CBE window is July 6 - 14, 2021. PISD students will be taking CBE in an online format. Students will be allowed to test from home utilizing a secure testing platform.

Can you post a score below the required minimum?

Scores below the required minimum for credit will not be posted. Students are not allowed to forfeit the Credit by Exam credit. Once the credit is earned, students cannot sit in the course for any reason, including for local credit or because of low performance in the subsequent course.
