In order to drop an ILR core required course, you must meet with an advisor in the Office of Student Services (OSS), 101 Ives Hall. Some courses may require instructor consent to drop, in which case you can complete an add/drop form, have the instructor sign it and return the form to OSS, 101 Ives Hall, for processing.

Go to Student Center > Add a Class > Enter Term > Swap Classes tab. Select the class from the drop down menu that you want to swap from. The SCE Petitions Committee will evaluate each petition separately, on a case-by-case basis, using the information available. Individual students petitioning for similar deviations from academic policy should not expect the same decision from the committee.

Should you drop a class after the deadline for a refund, the tuition and fees for that class cannot be applied - in any case - to tuition and fees for a subsequent offering of the same class or any other class taught in a later session or term.
Non-Attendance: If a student enrolls in a course and has numerous absences or fails to attend, all regular course fees and/or penalty fees will be charged. A failing grade will be recorded on the transcript for all students who do not meet the attendance requirement. All students are enrolled for credit.
Students attending courses that meet for two 45 minute sessions per week (24 times in a semester), will be limited to a maximum of 4 absences. Proportional adjustments will be made at the Director's discretion for courses that meet less than 24 times or more than 45 minutes per session.
