Items can only be copied between courses on the same Moodle site. To copy content from Legacy Moodle (moodle.umass.edu) to Moodle in the Cloud (umass.moonami.com), see Restore a Course in Moodle.
In the Moodle course you will copy into, to import the item(s): Open the course you wish to import item(s) into. In the Administration block, under Course Administration click Import. The Find a course to import data from page will open. The Find a course page can display up to ten courses available for you to copy.
Open the course you will copy item(s) Click Turn Editing On. At the bottom of the course page, click the Increase the number of sections button (+) to create a new Section. You will use this section to hold duplicates of the items you wish to copy. For each item you wish to copy, click Edit, then select Duplicate.
1) Begin by clicking on the "Import" link on the left-hand side of your course. 2) Then select the course that you would like to import from. 3) Then step through the wizard to select the course items that you would like to import. 4) Click finish and perform import.
I have Course A and Course B. The activities ( SCORM, Forum, and 2 Quizzes) from Course A should be moved or copied to Course B.

Be very carefull when you import. Are you using topic format or flexible sections. If you are using flexible sections 1. Get rid of topic zero 2. Create loads of blank topics as the first sections in your course and it will not overwrite anything. It can be a bit of a scatter gun effect but good to use
To import course information from a previous course in the same academic year 1 In Moodle, select the course to which you want to add the information. 2 Click Import from the Course Administration menu. Check the desired items and click next. 5 Click the import button. 6 You should now see the imported materials in the new course.
Course materials on Moodle taught four to eight years ago will be available upon request from IITS, but may take up to a week to restore. Courses taught more than eight years ago will be deleted and no longer available from IITS. We recommend you keep your own archives of any materials you want to keep, in addition to the materials kept by IITS.
