All students must receive the approval of the dean of the UF College offering the course before they can register for non-degree course work except for students participating in programs sponsored by the UF International Center. The application will be electronically forwarded to the UF College requested on the application for approval.
Generally, the ONE.UF registration system is open 24 hours. Log on to ONE.UF to access the Schedule of Courses to plan for your registration as well as accessing the registration system. If you are prevented from registering, ensure you have no holds on your record by looking at Registration Holds.
Students who leave UF without withdrawing formally will receive failing grades for all courses. Students should read the withdrawal instructions carefully before submitting their withdrawal online. Students may withdraw from all courses during drop/add without penalty.
Print a copy of your schedule each time you register. During the first three weeks of advance registration and throughout the online drop/add period, the UF regulates the registration system by utilizing assigned start times for registration sessions.
DROP POLICY To request a drop, sign on to ONE. UF and navigate to your registration page. Select the course(s) you wish to drop and submit. Once you have done this, you must notify your Academic Advisor that you have submitted a drop request.

Advance Registration is the period of time during which students register for upcoming semesters. In the Fall term, Advance Registration for the next Spring occurs sometime between late October and early November. It is the prerogative of the student’s UF college to determine how transfer credits apply to a degree. Students should expect to receive 60 transfer credits with an AA degree from a Florida public community/state college.

UF will not evaluate work previously completed, and it is the student’s responsibility to secure approvals required by the parent institution. Certification to Social Security and Veterans Administration programs also is the responsibility of the student, who must request each institution to furnish records.
Non-degree students taking courses at the university will be required to register for and to attend classes under the university calendar. Non-degree students must pay appropriate UF fees based on course level, number of credits and residency status.
Students who enter the university as freshmen are allowed two drops in their first 60 hours at UF, and two drops after 60 hours. AA degree transfer students are allowed two drops.

During online drop/add, priority is given to the students who have not registered for a full course load in the given term, regardless of class standing or credit hours earned toward their degrees. Students are allowed only one registration session per start time during daytime hours and will be automatically assigned a new time at the end of each registration session (once the student logs off) later that evening. Students can access the ONE.UF registration system repeatedly from approximately 10:00pm to close of the system every night except the final night of drop/add. Students may not access ONE.UF registration prior to their assigned start time.
Variable credit courses require you to enter the number of credits in a two-digit format; three credits would be entered as 03. If you register for an incorrect number of credits, you must drop the course and add it again with the correct credits.
Tuition for many courses offered through UF Online can be covered by the Employee Education Program (EEP) or the State Employee Tuition Waiver program if you are eligible for those programs.
